the house of representatives has _officialy_ decided that "french fries" (chips ;)) are now furthermore to be called "freedom fries" and "french toast" "freedom toast" and will adapt this to the eating establissements in government buildings.

roflmfao:D

Now come admit it, that is possible one of the most stupid ideas in a long long time:D

If it is true its the most pathetic thing I have ever heard, removing the name french from food products. Although this could get fun, I would love to see them remove all the english words derived from french:jumping:

Ahem dont change the subject :p everyone knows the french are buutchering their own language in a attempt to keep english out of it. Did you know the Nazis renamed words too? ;)

Disclaimer for anyone with a IQ under 5: I in no way meant that infidel bush and his heretic government were nazis, may they burn in hell:D Don't make me add another disclaimer ;)

So was the royal family last name. *ouch* :o

Fries are too noble to be associated with the French. Jello is more fitting. http://sbp777.homestead.com/files/wink2.gif

I'll take a liberty burger hold the independence onions, with anti-terror taders and a large patriot soda.

Despite your enthisiasm towards this, its still really really lame :p

So was the royal family last name. *ouch*

I can't stand the Royal family ;)

The idea of changing the name of french fries and french toast because of a word is pathetic. Go on change the whole english language to get rid of the french derived words ;)It wouldnt work ;):D

One word sums up this move to change the names: Childish, its what 8 year old children would do...:p

While strange, this has happened before. During WWI, sauerkraut was changed to "liberty cabbage" here in the states, since Germany was our enemy. No joke.

:) :D :)

"French" fries weren't invented by the French in the first place. It was Americans that decided to call them that. I think think they came from Belgium or Germany.

What makes it really sad is when you think that American taxpayers just footed the bill for this ungodly stupid idea.

The only thing the French invented were the tapestry, the souffle' and the sweet liquor. No wonder they are a bunch of pansies.
