I just received my new card. Problem is I only run linux. The 4191 drivers reconize my card and seem to work for the most part. The problem is that when i run quake3, or ut2k3 the fan never turns on and i get poor perfomance. I dont think the drivers are turning the cards 3d mode on. I really would like any help that i can get.

thanks

Hmm new card you say?

1. I'm assuming you did connect the extra power connector right?

2. If the card can't get the current it needs, it might kick back to 'low power' mode by default. Perhaps your supply isn't powerful enough. As an example, I have a 400w antec supply and it JUST BARELY gives enough current to run games with a GF FX or Radeon 9700 as well as 3 SCSI drives and other assorted hardware connected.

3. Perhaps the linux drivers are at fault. It could be that they just enumerated the new device without actually taking into account its differences compared to the other products.

4. Have you tried it in windows? Does it work ok there?
