Good to see them implement this. One less thing for people to complain about.

Well i would send a report but it would be a waste of bandwidth because they already know about my lack of SLI features with the GX2 because they decided to sell this knowing about the vista problems, NV can kiss my big hairy white @ss. j/k Just being patient waiting for the working drivers. But i do hate all you 8800 owners, you're the ones making the wait longer, ooh we have a DX10 card, we deserve it, and you get drivers and STILL no DX10 games to play, yeah great.

I fell over laughing when my default Vista 64 IE7 install wouldn't properly show the bug reporting site. I am in complete default settings with IE7 with one exception, I only allow session cookies. I assume this means that unless you let them track your visits there, you can't report a bug. Perhaps this suggests they want to know how many people are having which problem so they can address the largest number of effected first.

Guessing at motivation is generally futile, but I just couldn't help but laugh at the bug reporting page not working for me. Reminds me of tech support saying, "send us an email" when you can't connect to the network/email server.

Edit: Allowing them to place traceable, long term cookies on my computer, made the bug report tool available. I am reporting this as a bug!!!

Well, if the little nvidia icon doesn't pop up in the taskbar, then it's not on. Vista has it's own MPEG 2 and MPEG 4 decoders built in, so I think nvidia will need to make better drivers with video controls before we see any and I mean any software to take advantage of it.

So, even though it does install and "work" it doesn't really work because it is never activated. And that is why there are no ways to change the speaker settings or fix ugly interlaced movies.

I reported Company of Heroes, and slower performance of Quake 4 compared to XP.

I submitted reports for FEARXP, corrupt shadows, and Doom 3's editor opens blank, no grids, brushes, camera etc.

Kudos to Nvidia for providing this.

This is all I could really find about it, are you F@H while benching? I could swear I saw that a while back, I ended up re-installing. Heck, I can't even get 06 to run on Vista yet.

The current maximum score is a 5.9. A 6 hasn't been defined yet, because Windows developers want to leave themselves room for a 4-dimensional Pipes screensaver or something. They plan to re-evaluate the scale every 12-18 months, or else in two years everyone will have machines that score a 4 or a 5.

I think a solution like 3D Marks would have been better, the numbers would just increase as better hardware comes out.

Seems silly that today my 8800 scores 5.9 and next year it may only be a 3.9 :S

I'll be doing without 3Dmark for a while, now I can't get rid of it. Even trying to delete the desktop icon, vistas telling me it isn't there to delete lol.

Yours is different though. Mines pretty stable and consistent, no driver crashes(yet).

Just curious, have you tried with SLI disabled?

NV CP wont let me disable SLi, I also have other issues, my screen will flash on and off, and I get numerous BSODs. Ive about had it with Vista :headexplode:Its more common than I thought http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=25381&st=0

Sorry to hear that..I seem to be pretty good so long as I stick with browsing the net or Doom 3. :p Other than that, it'll be a while before I quit XP.

Poor performance in World of Warcraft. Also, some graphics problems, like a sync problem.

Argh, you can only submit one bug at a time !! :(

I would like to see nVidia provide updates in their driver release notes that bugs submitted by us are being fixed. It would seem that all this site is trying to do is pacify us. For all I know the bugs we submit could go directly to the recycle bin.

How about nothing works right with the latest Vista drivers.

Standard theme has corrpution.
Aero theme crashes.
Performance for games sucks.
IE v7.0 crashes your video drivers
Can't play any video. Full screen completely locks a computer.
No support for anything other than your over price 8800 series crap.
Media Centre cries for help with your products

Maybe a thread should be opened on what works. Because it would be very small. Then you would know what not to touch.

What I find humurous is none of my STEAM games work yet are listed as Vista friendly. Dungeon Siege 1, yes 1, works fine. This even though Vista spits up a warning message at install warning me the universe will collapse if I try to play it.

Granted it does get about 5fps when lots of baddies show up on the screen, though.

100.54 - 100.65 x64 loses screen resolution. (Samsung 940BW)

Was 1440x900 when installed, Started Vista this morning lost my rez its stuck at 1024 something at 60hz, wont even see 1440x900 anymore. Tried re-installing Forceware, Nothing just nothing. Even tried messing with scaling. This is the biggest whoops Ive ever seen. :(

(This is such a serious issue, I cant play games or even see the Vista start button. Its like the desktop is to big for the screen.)

I had to install my XP x64 again because this was so serious ! :(

(This BUG has been Reported !)
