NVIDIA is asking for our help to improve Windows Vista drivers :)

From NVIDIA's New Vista Quality Assurance Page (http://www.nvidia.com/object/vistaqualityassurance.html):

For those of you that are using Windows Vista and experiencing any problems, we’ve set up this website, including a bug reporting tool for end users to submit their experiences to NVIDIA. Our product managers will be reviewing this information daily and will be contacting users to help resolve any issues they might be experiencing.Report a bug with the NVIDIA graphics driver (https://surveys.nvidia.com/index.jsp?pi=7498eac864dc1950c8f09e040b4a437a).

They've been needing this for a LONG time. The general bug submitting feature is very nice, as well.

There is a registry hack (http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=11627&pid=47098&st=0&#entry47098) to enable the classic NVIDIA control panel in Vista. Doesn't seem to gain you anything though.

I agree, NVIDIA should've had a bug report system LONG time ago, and they should then reply to it too ofcourse :)

1. the Godfather corrupt intro
2. GTA3 crashes at the second way point

I bet they didnt expect as much feedback as they are getting - it's like uncorking a bottle with a genie inside lol

Serious issue here with 8800gts and 100.54/100.59 drivers.

Running Vista x64 version. Completely at random, my computer would fail to boot past the boot screen (the progress bar). It would just freeze and give me nothing but a black screen with no hard disk activity.

This did NOT and does NOT happen on my 7600gs with the whql 97.46 drivers or the built in drivers for that matter, nor does it appear to happen on my 8800gts using standard vga drivers (though i am still testing).

Anyone with the same problem?

I suppose spamming this with comments about Vista not having SLI wouldn't be appropriate...
