VR-Zone has the details (http://vr-zone.com/?i=4622):

The above picture is actually flagship 12.4 inch long OEM version of R600 XTX with 1GB DDR4, the retail version will be 9.5 inch long but be beware that OEM card will consume insane 270W. Both retail R600 XTX 1GB DDR4 and R600 XT 512MB DDR3 will consume 240W, 90W more than G80.

12.4" OEM! What case will that fit in?

Why would they even bother releasing a 12.4" OEM and 9.5" retail? Unless the difference in price is a good amount it's obvious which one the majority is going to buy.

EDIT: I can't wait to see review sites strip this card down. Hopefully they do a comparison between the 12 and 9 inch.

They even have to put a handle at the end just to be able to carry it. :udawg:

Lol, they would've shaved an inch off if they took that crap off. Seriously a handle on a video card? Why not just include a wrist strap while you're at it.:)

That's not a handle, that's a mounting part/mechanism for the some special OEM cases.

Its not a handle its a brace.

Braces have been used for a while, Dell has versions of Nvidia cards with it.
If anything that card probably is OEM model for OEM manufacturers.

I am surprised at the size of OEM, it massive and use dual slot, both VR-Zone and The Inquirer both got it wrong suggested OEM use single slot.

Thanks for the pics. This one is different again, it has a 8 Pin power connector. Maybe these are older pics.

Way to judge a card already by it's cosmetics and not it's performance. I could personally careless if it's a foot long or sucks 270 w. If it ends up being 20-60% faster than a G80, it's going into my system.

What'd they do, find the PCB specs from the old Voodoo 5 6000 (http://www.sudhian.com/index.php?/articles/show/3dfx_voodoo_5_6000_review/our_card) and reuse them? Holy shnykey, that thing is effing huge!

Power requirements is part of performance, If you cant feed the monster the juice then you wont get the performance your suppose to be achieving. The size comes into play when you calculate its heat and sound. If it generates too much heat and sucks too much juice enthuisiests wont want it because it will mess with there other components.

240W makes me glad I sprung for the 620W PSU.
