I recently had a Trojan Horse Dialer virus and AVG said it killed it. I then ran Spybot - Search and Destroy and it removed the culprit "Rapid Blaster."
HOWEVER...I now continue to get a warning that the Dialer Virus is a resident in my system. I ran the programs again but no record of it shows up. What next?

Trojan Remover
Or
Bullet Proof Soft...
Do you have Norton?
Also do manual registry searches and folder searches..
Or you can take the best advice of Matthy and reformat..:scarey:
If I ever find a virus (nevre on my pc, always the inlaws ;) ) I write down the name, then take a look over on Symantec's site and find out more about it. You can find out where the virus will hide on your pc, and also find out how to manually remove it, but as Matthyahuw said, format will always help, as sometimes viruses will put a payload on your hard disk!
