The XTX already comes clocked at 700mhz and will run as hot as a pot of boiling water w/ a 240W power consumption

and 2 slice toasters such as Kenwood TT290 (http://www.kenwoodworld.com/product_detail.php?cat=106&id=254) has 220-240W power consumption. Better hope that XTX will come with safety ‘auto-stop’ switches off incase when the fan either died, overheated or jammed to prevented the card from burnt like bad burnt slice of toast bread.

don't worry about AthlonXP, he is legally retarded. We would have banned him by now but nVNews could be sued via the American's With Disabilities Act.

That's by far the best AthlonXP1800 quote I have ever seen, topping his comment on nVidia earning 4 billion dollars in profit two years ago during the X800 inventory fiasco.

Ahem.. by whom..?! There's no source mentioned..

Maybe by this guy they mention later on....

An ATI insider, who wished to remain nameless, states

Aha.. of course.. the unnamed insiders.. we have gotten a lot of those the last 2 months..

I'll just wait for the 'official' final specs..

Probably 5%-10% in DX9, win for the R600, In DX10 first we need a game to test... so wait and see when R600 is released.

I can agree to this. I'm actually expecting the X2900XTX to be faster than 8800GTX- but not by a large margin. I'm betting the 512-bit memory bus and increased clock speeds will aid it greatly- but I do not think the X2900XTX will be much of a challenge to the 8900GTX.

Time will tell, as always. ;)

Probably when X2900XTX releases, the Geforce 8900GTX will release too, time will tell as you said.. ;)

Is there really any point in 1GB of ram? The top line R600 card is going to be expensive.

In my opinion it could be a dual chip (or Dual Core) solution with 512Mgs+512Mgs for both chips (Cores), but I can fail in my prediction, it will benefit if it´s only one core with 1Gig at very high resolutions, in low resolutions I don´t think it makes a big difference.
