Hi,
I want to work with hardware stereo on my PC with a Nivida Quadro FX1500 card. The stereo works.
I'm currently looking for stereo glasses, but the emitter must connect on a "3-Pin Mini-DIN" connector, which we can find e.g. on the FX1400 (i think).
But the FX1500 card has a "7-Pin HDTV Out" connector... and I can't find stereo glasses with an emitter which can connect on a HD OUT connector.
(My stereo glasses supplier told me that the FX1500 card is not "stereo ready"...)
Is there a solution, apart from changing the video card ? ;) like a converter HD OUT --> 3-Pin ?
Regards,
Pascal

there is something called a sync box that can solve youre problem
http://www.stereographics.com/support/boards/graphics_card_query.asp
I have also found this for stereo enabled grafic cards.
Now i have 2 DELL PREC With quadro 3450 with 3pin but at this point the stereo kits have't arrived. Someone that had a kit couldn't power/enable the 3d pin and had also this sync box and worked.
I'm also a novice in stereo but i try to do my best.I want to buy 3 more grafic cards and i saw fx1500 having a good price.Does it have in the menu enabling for stereo?Because all stereo cards should have this option.
I'm waiting for you're answer to see if this works for you.

For your problem - is it not possible to use a DVI to VGA adapter to turn it into a VGA signal, then use one of the e-dimensional things that plugs into that to provide the needed 3 pin socket for the glasses to synchronise against?
I have the edimensional glasses, and they come with a VGA passthrough cable that the infrared sync emitter plugs into (my glasses are wireless).
look here:
https://edimensional.com/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=28
In the picture of what you get, its the "Video Synchronization Module".
Also, you have a Quadro FX1500 - do you get the stereo settings in the tab, and does it do something?
I am considering buying one of these cards myself, but need to know if it supports 3d stereo (2 projector setup with polarized lenses :-)
Thanks for any response
Cheers,
Dan

No, the NuVision 60GX-100 product doesn't work with the FX1500. I can connect the infrared emitter 3-pin DIN to the DVI connection with a VGA adaptater, but the emitter is not powered. So glasses don't work.

Indeed, the FX1500 is not listed.
But

let me think that CrystalEyes stereo enabler should work for the FX1500. With that the emitter is powered. I asked for a try, but i got no answer.
Now i have 2 DELL PREC With quadro 3450
nice one :)

I have quad-bufferd stereo with the FX1500. Only the infrared emitter doesn't work with the NuVision kit.
Now I changed the FX1500 for a FX1400 with a 3-pin connector. Glasses and emitter are working perfect :)

I don't know if that would work - I only tried the NuVision VGA passthrough cable, which didn't work for the emitter.

What do you mean by "in the tab" ?
With the FX1400 or the FX1500, I have hardware stereo, e.g. within Pymol (free software for visualising protein).

The emitter is not powered but it has a dc input and you can power it , now they work only with the sync box ... the 3pin connector from the grafic card is not used in any station ... now i have 6 stations 3 dell with 3450 and 3 less demanding with quadro fx 1000 ....
the stereo works perfectly
I have only one question .. does the quadro fx1500 have the option to enable stereo?
i need 2 more stations
