Hi . I have a Dell inspirion 8100

I was running redhad 7.3 (happy with that.
I upgraded the os to the latest 8.0 and got the latest nvidia src.rpm drivers.

I ran the upgrade for the OS. and all went in smooth.
I removed the GLX and then the Kernel driver .. rpmbuild --rebuild both the kernel and GLX and installed them.
I started the computer .. and logged in. The graphic came up as a VESA 640 x 480.
(i forgot to edit the /etc/X11/XF86Config file ) No biggy. so edit the file and restarted the x server.

Now my problem starts.

Viewing the /var/log/XFree86.0.log
I see the message Fatal server error
no screens found.

So I assume I have to do something to make the computer it has a screen..
Can I get a quick how to make the computer see the screen doco..

thanks

It would be superb to have the full log file. Look for a (EE) string which means an error and you will find a more exact error message.
