Does the control panel save application settings in this release???

Nope. It's simply there for the placebo effect.

I'm sticking with Vista as well.

Me too.

I installed Vista Ultimate over the weekend and originally intended a dual boot with XP being the main OS. About half way through my program installation marathon I was suprised to find that 90% of the stuff I was installing works perfectly with Vista.

Some games are slightly slower but not enough to matter unless you obsess on watching your FPS while playing, In facxt it's hardly noticeable in most cases.

My old XP drive is soon to be formatted to become backup space for Vista.

I have to use Ntune for that. Whats really REALLY annoying is that it dont keep its settings from boot to boot.

And the 60/75 hz party is still there too?

And is there a way to completly disable the mouseacceleration in Vista?

Anyone see any issues playing Oblivion with these?
What about HDR+AA?

That was mentioned in the release notes - no support for AA & HDR in games like Oblivion and RS6 Vegas.

No your not. Afaik it's a java related issue, as in disable it or update to the latest version. *found it*
Lee63...

The problem is due to Java loading. If you can bear to live without Java, which most of us can't, you can avoid that issue. I've had it on and off. If you update to the newest version of Java you might resolve your issue.

With Ntune Im having issues getting OC's to work, do you know if upgrading to these drivers helps any?

For some reason others can get overclocking working but some of us it just wont work. Or is it an 8800 thing?

Any help apreciated.

That's strange, our rigs aren't that different and they installed fine for me. Any error messages?

DVD playback (PowerDVD 7.2, Media Player) only works with HDTV (Sharp LC-37BE2W - DVI) on native resolution (1920x1080).

Moving from the 100.40 drivers to these, performance in HL2 with my basic settings (1280x800, no AA, 4x AF) went up dramatically--to the point where it's almost on par with XP. However, if I enable 2x AA and leave everything else the same, my performance gets cut by 2/3 (eg. scenes at 60 fps now run at 20). Very odd.

Well thats the problem... it does not even work in nTune... as a matter of fact it wants to underclock my card and the fan control does nothing at all. I thought that maybe it was the drivers messing nTune up... but if its an issue with nTune then im sorry!

Hmm. Nvidia Control Panel says that SLi is enabled, but running 3DMark06 still gives me only 12K points unlike the 16K+ points I used to get in XP. The SLi functionality for my 8800GTX's are still broken in Vista with these 100.64 drivers. The SLi checkbox is purely cosmetic but non-functional.

Sleep mode is still a no-go. It would go into sleep mode (though it takes a while), but waking up the computer still ends up with a blank screen though the computer appears to be running again.

Also, what happened to the GPU temperature meter and the green bar that measures your SLi balancing? I can't find them on these drivers!

Thanks in advance.

Yes enabling AA in Vista yields baaad results.

I grabbed this from another forum but don't have the cable/connector to try, but sounds promising:

"PROBLEM: If you use an LCD monitor and have a DVI-I single cable... you will have this problem. During the install of the drivers... when the screen goes blank... it will never come back on and you will have to go to safe mode to remove the newly installed drivers.

SOLUTION: If you replace your DVI-I single cable with a DVI-I DUAL cable (or a DVI-I Dual to VGA cable which is all I have at the moment) this will solve your problem and you can use the new drivers from NVidia."

Not sure if it's OK to link to the post, but it is from the nvidia forum - http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=28073

Does anyone have Dark Messiah of Might and Magic (included with the eVGA cards) have problems with the game crashing all the time? Even when exiting I'm getting Vista saying "mm.exe has stopped responting and needs to be closed". Just curious if it's Vista itself or the nVidia drivers causing it.

That's weird, I do have dual-link DVI cable - if that's it I never would have guessed it in a million years.

Had some BSODs when trying to update the WEI score. Don't know if it was related to the processor overclock, or to the new drivers. Anyway, I lowered the FSB and it seems stable now.
Didn't notice any improvement in games. Have to test more.

Geez, pay $500 to be a beta tester for nvidia...:thumbdwn: I wonder why they reported record revenues this quarter... At least creativelabs is in a much worse condition right now with Vista then they are.
