Wow, thats really impressive.

If you figure the average price is probably around $500, the 8800s have brought in $200 million in just over 3 months. :eek:

This has to be one of the best selling high end cards in a long time. I'm sure it has a lot to do with them not releasing a mid range 8800 too.

I really had no idea so many people bought these things.

At what point does Jen-Hsun Huang believe that the mainstream market will all own a 8800? 800000 sold?

That doesn't mean they sold 400k, just shipped 400k right?

What nvidia ships out cards for free now? Of course they sold them. Nvidia sold the cards to companies like BFG, EVGA, XFX. In turn those companies sold them to the distributor. Then the distributor sold them to e-tailers/retailers. It's not like nvidia doesn't see any money until the product leaves the retail shelves.

... and after shipping 400000 8800's, they still haven't fixed the fog issue in CS:S and Half-Life 2.

They != Nvidia
They = Valve

Woow very nice ..this is wonderful news for Pc Gaming indeed :)
I remember that Nvidia said they was impressed on how well the 7000 series sold in the begining!

And the 8800 series just fly of the desk..very impressive and a very impressive card from Nvidia, a real revolution!

This just shows why they are number Uno :)
