I have the following coming in :
Core Duo 6600
ASUS P5N-E SLI NF650I
OCZ Platinum 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800

How much trouble will I have OC to 3ghz?
Not wanting to push it, just looking to get a little more HP as it were.
6600 has a multiplyer of 9 , so I would want to try the FSB around 330?

Ok been doing dome reading and some people said that the board has a limit of 300fsb stable.
The last mention of that though was from November , is that still the case or has that been worked around?

With that board and proc, you should have no problem reaching 3ghz. I believe that board can do 450+ FSB.

Not sure why anyone would still buy an NF chipset for an Intel C2D chip. Stick with 965 and 500+ is the limit mate.

Why post that?
Lot of people go SLI. Lots of people own nf chipsets. And lots of people have amazing overclocks.
Telling someone to go get a 965 chipset after he already owns a motherboard is just rude.

You successfully hi-jacked this thread but I guess (hope) that Hex got the answer he was seeking. On attacking the Mods I think you had better re-think that. BTW, the next time use the 'feedback' forum as I suggested if you have a complaint.
