ati seems to have done a great job by releasing vista drivers which nearly match xp performance. may be nvidia doesnt have enough developers working on the driver side and they still need 2 more months to release a driver which match performance of xp performance.
Wait until they have to play with DX10 and Vista's DRM. Then Nvidia will be ahead of the ball game....

Please explain how DRM will effect driver development.

So far, the 8800 series cards have been nothing short of a joke. If I spend $500+ on a product, it better work as advertised (Full DirectX 10 Support) at the time of purchase. Anything else is fraud.

You say that nVidia mops the floor with ATI, but at least their GPUs work in Vista.

Why should they keep this speed demon from us? And Ati is not waiting as some type of strategic move while nVidia meanwhile mops up the floor with them with the 8800. Ati would have released last year if they could have!

And your excuse for Ati having poor OGL is just as crazy as everything else you are saying.

Actually, why not take this to the _itch thread that is already open for this type of nonsense rather than crap on this one anymore?

Troll.

No other excuse for your ramblings; as if you could even tell you DIDN'T have DX10 support. Give me a break!

How about proving you don't have DX10 support?

Actually, how about you stop now because if your doubts about DX10 support are the driver for your drivel, then you have a really weak case in proclaiming the 8800's a joke, especially when they are the fastest card out with everything else, and many that have them are very happy with them.

HDCP requires drivers support.

What makes you think it doesn't have full DX10 support? The only DX10 app we have works great, so I am not seeing where the card doesn't work as advertised.

Have a read at Rage3D on how well ATI drivers work in Vista. Take your pick at some of the posts. At least nvidia has much better working OpenGL drivers and ATI has only 1 Architecture to make drivers for.

He's seems like just another of the many recent trolls and thread crappers that come here, but it is a good idea the set the record straight when they do this.

Has anyone got Oblivion HDR+AA working with these or earlier drivers? My control panel setting does not appear to have any effect, though it does enable AF.

Enable HDR in game and then force AA in control panel.

All I want/need is a new(er) control panel and some new features and more performance. This control panel (based on some stupid research on Microsoft user-centered blah blah sucks) and we need a new interface. Just forget the old and new control panel and let's start again. It's never too late.
