Hello all (especially jakup and Tikiman ;) ), I have a few questions for you guys. I have the above pc, and wish to upgrade. I have exams in a few months so will only be able to put in a few hours a night :D . Therefore I am looking for a sensible upgrade for the above rig.

I dont mind selling bits and pieces. I have sold my GTO. Didnt get alot for it on ebay @ 111 but I can live with that.

What would be your recommended course of action. Pieces to sell, bits to get? I am running the dell 2407wfp so it has to be fairly high end. However I do NOT want to spend a hellava lot because I want the best rig money can buy in the summer so I can enjoy making it.

I have a budget of around 300 and I have 100 in paypal, so around 400.

Ideas?

I think the motherboard is the weak link. Does anyone know any cheap overclocking boards that will support 533mhz ram and a c2d

I think your best option would be to get a Core2Duo E6300 or E4300. Then a 8800GTS. Depending on what model you go with its 300-400.
