I go to Adobe's site and flash works. I have java installed and running. Yet You Tube tells me I don't have either.
Any one have any tips?

Well I tested with both Java and Flash installed, it worked fine. Try uninstall Flash and then reinstall it, that should fix it.

Your having problems with both IE7 and FF2?

Manually install adobe flash with the latest version of Firefox closed. Run it as an administrator. Youtube will not function for me under IE7 either.
I get this message where the video should be even with flash installed in IE7:
"Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Macromedia's Flash Player. Get the latest flash player."
Works great with FF2 though, again, provided you get macromedia to install manually with the FF browser closed.

I couldn't get it to work until I closed my browser (Mozilla FF) and then reopened it. Then I watched this hilarious Kinks video:

Thanks! That macromedia link with the unreg .exe seemed to do the trick.
