View Full Version : I got my DS... now what?
After deep thought about PSP vs DS... I finally decided I wanted a PSP (cause it looks to have a lot more games and some decent A list titles). But, all my friends have DS's... so I went for one so we could all play multiplayer.
So whats everyone playing multiplayer? I don't have any games yet!

Mario Kart DS ...... Seriously, I have no idea why DSs don't come with this game.
Not to sure on other multiplayer stuff but games I have enjoyed:
New Super Mario Bros.
FF III
I've just read the review of Final Fantasy 3... it says 1-2 players, but doesn't mention what the multiplayer mode actually is. Does it have co-op story or is the multiplayer mode just mini games?

Mario Kart, Metriod, New Super Mario, meteos, advanced wars, and tons more
It's almost effortless to have fun with a DS.
The biggest problem most people have is getting over their insecurities so they can play games like EBA and Cooking Mama. After that, it's all uphill. There are a ton of good games that follow a more traditional gaming style with a little DS flare too, like the ones Zelda listed. To each his own. Either way, the DS is a whole lot of fun, and now that it has a seemingly unstoppable momentum only more and more developers are going to hop on board.
Yeah, I am really starting to enjoy it. The wireless magically works without me having to do anything so I can easily play with friends... New Mario is good. Bomberman is ace, I love having the second screen. I'm looking at getting the new castlevania game and the new mega man game.
Although if the 2 player in FF3 is good, I may get that next. Had a go at multiplayer Yugioh gx and the 2nd screen really makes a difference. Fun game, but I don't really understand it.
The "multiplayer" in FFIII is just a stupid mail service. What makes it even worse is that you have to send messages to people and NPCs to unlock extra content like a secret class, a secret dungeon, and ultimate weapons for each job.
Still an awesome game. It's that the multiplayer, if you can call it that, is a joke.
I might get FF3 at some point, but am a bit disappointed there is no proper multiplayer.
Have spent hours glued to the DS so far... does anyway else find it hurts their hands? I think its too square... I'm going to look round see if someone does a rounded case or grip for it!

man.. i have been fighting the urge to get a DS for months. i have a gameboy micro, but that DS just oozes style. the thing that keeps me on the micro though is that it fits right in my pocket.
DS has never interested me... even when I got it, I wasn't overly enthusiastic about it.
Now I don't know how I ever lived without it... my PC is gathering dust.
Graphics aren't great (compared to my 8800 :) ) But who cares, its real fun and very addictive.

love ya zoomy942!!!!!
Hahaha... everyone should have dual screen loveliness...
I'm dreading the first time I have to recharge it... I'll probably just sit and watch it recharging... it'll leave a 3 hour void in my life.
Seriously though, I've bought a lot of useless junk... my pda springs to mind. Went mad to get it and finally got round to ebaying it... but you will have to prise the DS from my cold dead hands.
