I finally decided to go with the 360. But I dont have a HDTV(at least for now). I conencted the 360 to my LCD monitor using the monitor speakers as the sound source). It sounds very tinny though.

can someone recommend a good 2.1 speakers that will go well with this?

How about 5.1?

These are great. Logitech X-530 70 Watts 5.1 Speaker

I have the Logitech Z-2300s. They include an RCA-to-mini adapter so you can connect the 360 directly to the speakers.

not enough room for a 5.1 setup..

how owuld the z-2300 compare to the Klipsch promedia 2.1, both are same price at amazon

also in future when I get a cheapo LCD TV maybe 27-32 ", will these work better than the inbuilt TV speakers???

Read the reviews on both at Newegg then make a decision. The both got some good ratings.

And some TV speakers are adequate but most are not so yes they my be better than the built in speakers of a TV you may buy in the future.

ok last question, how much will I lose if I go for a 2.0 setup instead of 2.1. Reason being, Klipsch 2.0 is available for free next day shipping and not the 2.1

I would stick with 2.1 so you can get a little extra kick out of some of these games and movies.

If they're the same price, the Klipsch speakers have a bit richer sound IMO. They're close, though. At the time I bought my Logitechs, they were $50 cheaper than the Klipsches. There wasn't enough of a difference between the two to justify the much higher price.

I have 5.1 5300e speaker with my X360 using the RCA-to-mini adapter. But the mini adapater only has two plugs, meaning no plug for FS/SW. Which kinda sucks... is the only way to get true 5.1 sound with the X360 to hook it up using digital audio?
