How do I use teh D3DOverrider?
Edit: Nevermind. I got teh D3DOverrider working. I had to install Rivatuner, copy teh D3DOverrider directory, and then uninstall Rivatuner. Teh D3DOverrider works great!

Not sure if this is the same problem, related, or if I'm completely off base here, but I'm hoping someone will be able to help
I just upgraded my computer. CPU, motherboard, RAM, and main video card. Previously I'd had a 6800 AGP and a 6200 PCI for dual monitors, and had never had any issues. The upgrade brought me to a 8600GTS PCIe and the 6200 PCI. Now I'm getting a lot of weird tearing-like(?) issues. An example is that the smilies and animated ads on this page keep creating boxes of distortion all over the screen. They mostly go away by themselves, or when you scroll the window down a little bit, but either way its TERRIBLY annoying.
I've disabled vsync in Windows and upped the refresh rate on my LCD to 75Hz, but it didn't fix the problem. Anyone have another idea on how to fix this?
Wow, this is my post from a year ago. :D
My vsync problem is fixed, but I had gone back to XP shortly after my last post here and only recently returned to Vista, but this time the x64 version and SP1.
