I still can't get FSAA to work. (sort of worked in beta 100.65, not at all in WHQL version)
I still can't get my Sharpening and Gamma options to stick.
I still don't have SLI. (how do they get premium WHQL certification and not have SLI?)

My avatar could not be any more accurate.

I'm not even using my Vista Home Premium I bought on launch day now . The issues are unbearable for everyday use.

In a few months it MAY all be sorted out.

Unfortunately we just have to put up with it, not much we can do.

To rephrase the MS tagline:

'The "WOW" starts in 6 months'

We already have a big thread for complaints though, so this thread will probably be locked.

Whoa! deja-vu! I swear I've read this thread before...oh wait...no....that was the other 20 of them that pop up every day.

I don't think the drivers need to support SLI for them to be WHQL certified....they only need to be tested by microsoft and pass....

Did you even read the release notes? 7 series SLI wont be available until a future driver. Get over it, or buy an 8800.

It's called complacency. Nevermind the bullsht coming from the other side saying that having to deal with new technologies "takes a lot of time and is too overwhelming". I call bullsht on that RIGHT NOW. The bottom line is that they have dropped the ball and continue to stumble. We don't need excuses we demand results! So they have enjoyed that 60-70% market share for high-end graphics processors, but that clever statement paraphrased here: "ATI has a great product. But if they think they're gonna hold the crown, they must be smokin' something hallucinogenic" will no doubt come back to bite nv in the ass.

Buy an 8800? Those users are having most the same issues! I don't care about SLI at this point, I just want a working video card!

Do you mean you can't get AA working when trying to set it in the control panel or you don't get it even if AA is set in-game. I haven't tried using the control panel yet but AA being set in-game appears to be working for me.

Using the 100.65 WHQL driver and Vista-64.

So, you're using an inferior OS which has afforded you nothing but instability and reduced performance and you're complaining about Nvidia? Amazing...

We rather have reduce performance and the ability to play almost all of our games rather then superior performance and well only 10 games to choose from.

Seriously will you STFU with your little anti windows ****, fine you like Linux good for you... now stop coming into every windows related thread and stating your pointless ****. I see you posting in the Vista forum with just complaints and retarded comments all the time...

Go do some /root commands or some ****... no one gives a flying **** about Linux that is why NO ONE USES IT.

Can someone explain to me why a serious gamer would be using Vista right now vs. XP?

Like.. the topic creator chose vista over xp. That kind of deal.

I quote what I said in a thread not that long ago:

Holy crap.... some of the threads are really fetching annoying me! All I hear is crap like this:

"Nvidia dropped the ball with Vista....why can't we get some good XP drivers...EVGA's warranty sucks (I can't handle registering my card within 30 days of getting it(crazy))....SLI is a headache don't even try:retard:....all of the 680i boards are crap....R600 is already pwning NVIDIA"....and on and on and on!!! ---Things aren't perfect, but these comments are far fetched---:thumbdwn:. My experience with NVIDIA products has been awesome from day 1 and continues to be.

When people complain about drivers I take that a bit more personal than some people do. I have beta tested now 2 different unreleased driver sets. I have also had the opportunity very recently to be be part of a Special Focus Group that discussed with NVIDIA employees how to improve the Control Panel. I am just your average resident TiKi and NVIDIA has involved me and shown that even my feedback is important. They are a fantastic company.:)

Spread the word and tell people they can go here where MikeC posted if they have problems with Vista:
http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=85982

All I have to say is... lame haters, thread crappers, chronic tech noobs stop ruining our forums. If you don't like NVIDIA and have nothing good to say I know a place here (http://www.rage3d.com/board/) and here (http://www.bratz.com/) that would just love to have you.

To those who suffer from the disease of constant user error do what my soccer coach used to tell us: "Put your pussy on the shelf and be a man...and in the process learn a thing or seven."

:banghead: That's exactly what I keep asking myself.

Vista has been out now how long again....like 3 weeks or so. Give Nvidia at least at little bit more time than that. No one is making you upgrade to Vista right now. Although I must admit I love the new OS and the new GUI, that will not stopping me from making a dual boot to XP like I do at work.

Nvidia cards scream with awesome performance in XP. If you can't accomplish great performance in XP I would suggest putting your training wheels back on before stepping up to a new OS.

Vista and SLI = a ton of work. Prior to Vista, NVIDIA had full control of the driver so they could obscure that SLI was even occuring to the OS. With Vista and the new driver model, it is not so easy. It is a complete rewrite. And, you will only attempt this effort on gold code, not beta. So, give them a little time and you will once again have SLI.

Vista RTM has been out for 5 months. Its current driver model has been out for 2 years. NVIDIA and others have had PLENTY OF TIME.

Now go put your Power Glove back on and stroke off to Cliffy B's latest posts on UT2007.

Your personal experience with nv is irrelevent.

For the umpteenth time, the perceived complexity is irrelevent. What we have here is absolute piss poor planning and managerial failure of monumental proportions. That is the truth of the matter. Those who still don't get it need to be schooled more in this business.

Anyone who registers on this site is in someway, shape, or form biased towards nv. But the guy is obviously at the extreme end due to his personal experience working with nv. Don't let your bias excuse nv's irresponsibility in this matter.

Really...
You want good solid gaming.....get XP on that box. Vista and its industry support is nowhere near ready to be a main OS.
