Low performance with 4gb ram

Hey guys i just bought 4x1 gb sticks of Ocz platinum ddr 800 ram but i lost about 2000 points in 3dmark 06 i use windows vista ultimate 64 does anyone know a solution ?

Are you sure your sticks are running at their rated speed? Often enough, the BIOS will set a lower frequency when 4 sticks are present.

yeah i set it al manualy to ddr 800 4 4 4 12 4 and 2,1 v

are you sure you have revision 2 ram? If it's the original Platinum then your speeds should be 4-5-4-15. Even rev 2 is rated at 4-4-4-15

yes its revision 2 4 4 4 15 but there is no difference when i set it to 5 5 5 15 or 4 4 4 12 3d mark is slower but games run fine so i think no problem at all Oo

Did you have Vista before you added the ram. If you switched to Vista after you got the ram thats probably where your points went....
