HAHAHAHA everyone has different opinions, glad to see you like expressing yours in detail. I have the Alien Quadrilogy, I've seen Predator 1st one, I enjoyed it as well with the first two Aliens but I did not enjoy the last ones so much.

I really liked AvP. I've watched it several times but in general, I just love those type movies. It's the same with horror movies. Most people trash them but they're among my favorites.

AvP was tolerable on its own. Encapsulated in the Aliens/Predator universes (which were fine for crossover in comics, but definitely not in movies), it's trash.

It's not even believable...they're in Antarctica and that chick is running around in a t-shirt for like the last 20 minutes.

AvP had Lance Henrikson in it, so it wins by default.

I prefer my real surround system... I think the fake surround is overrated, and yes i've heard them b4. I was never a big fan of Bose to begin with. they sound nice, but not my cup of tea!

I hope you know I was being sarcastic.... I can't stand Bose or any of that simulated surround bs

That and the characters had ZERO DEPTH. It was all Hollywood look at me BS.

Compare that stupid "ice chick" to Hicks, Ripley, Hudson, etc. No comparison in characters.

I couldn't agree more.

Aliens is probably my all-time favorite movie. Everything that came after it has just been an embarassment.

Bill Paxton, Bill Pullman, Sigourney Weaver, Lance Henrikson, Paul Reiser...all-star cast, all-star story and all-star action.

Aliens was sort of a near-perfect storm of action-horror hybrid, though. The odds are pretty damn long that we'll ever see something like that again. (While the original Alien was more straight horror, and still considered one of the finest modern achievements in that category. Apples and oranges.)

Gently nudging this back on-topic for a minute: for whatever damnable reason, all of Sony's hopes for BD more or less rest on the PSgrill...whether they really wanted them to or not.
