Yeah, while ATI had no hand in writing the application, it is quite funny that the only thing that can overclock Nvidia cards is a tool originally designed for ATI hardware.
I hope Nvidia are embarresed, might make them hurry up :)

I'm having problem with this tool in Vista Business
It installed successfully, but after I reboot my PC then it says driver unavailable.
I reinstalled this tool using administrator priviledge, still the same, run ATITool with admin priviledge still a same.
I disabled UAC, should I disable driver signing too?

You have to disable driver signing for it to work in vista x64.
Don't think you do in vista x86 though.

I had no problem with this tool in Vista Business x86 ... so he must be on x64 or just is having a stroke of bad luck :)

Awesome, works really well.
BFG 8800GTX under Vista Ultimate x86.
630/950 OC seems to be a nice sweet spot for my card. Higher memory settings cause some artifacting. Hopefully fan control will be released in an upcoming beta. :jumping:

Hi,

how do I disable this forced driver signing?
Thanks :)

now after I reboot for a few times, ATITool will stop working.
The driver is correctly installed and signing is disabled for sure. I checked the driver is working properly in device manager.
But launching ATITool still says driver not found.
I have to reinstall it to get it to work.
Probably this is a bug.

No.
You need to disable driver signing first.
Then reinstall ATiTools. Then it will work, and the driver will remain loaded at restart.
Not working for me. Here is what I did. Using Vista Home Premium 64bit btw.
Disabled driver signing (pressing F8 at boot).
Installation went smooth, a few complaints but those can be bypassed. Atitool itself worked, I could overclock and everything. Then I did a restart, disabled driver signing once again, and Atitool stopped working. Couldn't load the driver.
I just gave up. Don't need my GTS to be overclocked right now.

If you are running vista 64-bit, I don't think you can disable driver signing. Initial install went smooth also, but on any following boot I got the atitool kernel driver not running. On the last try I got the dreaded bsod during boot with c000021a 0x00000000 (0xc00000fe 0x00100178) msg. Had to use my install disc repair function (which couldn't fix it but allowed me to use a restsore point). Used it and immediately set another restore point, just encase there were problems with it later on, which there were. On boot up my os keep looking for a driver to install which turned out to be connected to the atitool. I had to run search to find all the remnants of the atitool app and delete them. Its all trial and error but thats what makes it interesting.

Well as I mentioned in my last post,
I did all this.
