7600GT or P4 3.4GHZ...sounds weird???

Hi,

Im a big fan of jet sims...like lock on n such. I recently bought a Geforce 6800XT 256bit ddr3 pci-x card. Different flight sims give variable FPS...n im not that happy with the performance im gettin. So, i was thinkin about an upgrade.

Here's what i need help with:

I have intel 2.66 D processor...may be that's why i aint gettin good FPS in Lock on or other newer flight sims.

So, what should i do? Buy a 7600GT or upgrade to P4 vanilla 3.4GHZ processor???

These are the only two options for me...n since simulation games depend largely on the CPU...i was thinking about goin for the processor change. Will it help???

For Flight Sims, go for the fastest cpu you can afford. I doubt the 7600GT would help much.

Your processor is old and slow. If your motherboard supports C2D. Get a C2D.
