Hey all,

Just curious, with Vista, are driver cleaning aps such as driver cleaner pro obsolete yet, does any one still use this?

Sorry for such a stupid qustion. I searched around but any information I found was either old or inconsistant.

Drivercleaner.net works fine on Vista but its not free like the older versions

I still use driver cleaner on XP.... but on Vista I just install over the old drivers and it does not seem to mess anything up.

Normally things can't messed up I think, cause they now work in userlevel

Yeah, myself have Drivercleaner.NET running here on Vista

Thanks for the input. I guess I will try not cleaning first but man, I feel so dirty, goes against everything i've done before.

Yeah, nothing good ever stays good :( Oh well.

As for the question...I just uninstall the old drivers and install the new ones. No driver cleaning. Seems to work fine. I never used driver cleaner in XP either....and I have never had a problem because of not using it...
