I had thought that Digital Stereo PCM @ 24/192 was uncompressed w/ an optical connection, but I have doubts about that now.

So, what's the max bitrate for optical output?

Please help me.

Max bitrate for optical: 4mbit
Max bitrate for coaxial: 10mbit

At 24/192 raw PCM you could possibly get mono, but definitely not stereo unless A) your amp supports it (most don't) and B) you use a coaxial connection.

ADAT supports that but thus far only a few soundcards in existence support ADAT, and even fewer amps support it.

Thank you. I'm glad though that at least i could still 24/96 uncompressed though. since that's only 2304Kibps (or just Kbps?; 1000 multiples=i (like hard drives; 1024=1kbps, no i)
