Has anyone found ANY games that run under Vista with the 8800GTX and has no problems? I want to play some games really badly and this is making me angry.

Well I was thinking games with NO crashes. C&C3 demo crashes, SupCom crashes. I want to play a game for longer than 10 min.

Edit: Painkiller dies , farcry runs pretty sweet and is so far the only one I can play for extended periods of time.

FEAR
GRAW
Quake 4
PREY
Chronicles Of Riddick

QUake 4? Are you serious? Awesome. Could always go for another run through while waiting for this months driver updates.

To install Quake 4 you will have to right click on the setup.exe and choose run as administrator or you will get some kind of error ,other than that it runs pretty good in Vista.

This may be a little offtopic but if I have that Boostdrive tech on my 4 GB flash drive, will it enhance the Ultra GFX mode on Quake 4 and make it less laggy?

Turning UAC off will stop any warning messages popping up.

Well I keep UAC on because I like the added layer of protection. But if these games all work then I'm going to be able to atleast play something while waiting for fixes.

Most games under Vista crash for me so gone back to XP and will dual boot with Vista. What happens is i get your Display driver stopped responding restarted display driver crap. So i would say it's NV's drivers causing it.

Yea. I've found CSS, HL2, HL2 E1, SupCom, Sniper Elite, Syberia, Oblivion, Morrowind, BF2142, BF2, BF1942, NOLF, NOLF2, Guild Wars, Day of Defeat Source, Deus Ex, Everquest 2, Freelancer, Darkstar One and The Sting! don't work.

EDIT: I just got The Sting! Working and I've been meaning to finish that game and write an FAQ for it.

vista is in its infacy.

there will be alot of patches for recent games and vista itself, that will them to not only(code permiitting of course) run on vista, but add performance also.Drivers will get much better with alittle time also.

I'm still waiting for the Fileplanet beta to come out. Usually they get everything first.

I've played the following in Vista 32bit and 64 bit no prob:

Test Drive Unlimited
Infernal
Just Cause
Far Cry
Counterstrike Source
Oblivion
Deal or No Deal
Luxor 2
Geometry Wars
Peggle
Virtually Jenna

FEAR Combat however is totally fuxed in Vista 32bit and 64 bit, no matter which drivers you use. It plays fine for a few min, then does some wierd 1-3 sec pausing, then from that point on runs at like 15fps or something. Very annoying, wish they'd fix that. So anybody saying they are playing that fine in Vista on a 7900 or above is a liar.

Fileplanet normally ISN'T first...If you think about it, it would be insane for a company to release an UNTESTED (by many people) beta client to Fileplanet. There are several phases of Beta testing, and usually FP gets betas in beta 3+...

Oblivion doesn't seem to want to work for me and the new 101.44 drivers blow tard chunks. Crashing superfetch and then blue screening me. I'll wait till stable drivers come out.
