So I am in the market for a new LCD and given 22" LCDs are in my price range (trying to replace my 2 19" CRTs now).

I'm coming here to seek some advise on 3 Monitors

Gateway FPD2275W (lots of inputs, HDCP, 1:1 pixel mapping?

Samsung 226BW (2 ms response, I am assuming GtG; 3000:1 contrast ratio)

Dell E228WFP

Each has its pros and cons. But lately reading all the differences, I am not sure which to go for.

So I seek the advise of you forum ppl ;)

Ive been leaning towards that one lately.

Still debating if I really want a 22 or should save some more for a 24". My friends keep saying to go for a 24 since it be more worth it

Does anyone know what changes are between the 2407WFP A03 and A04 revisions?

Only problem I have with the 22 inch LCD's are they are the same native resolutions as the 20's. Both are 1650X1080. With the 20's being that and the 24's being 1900X1200(Right?) I feel there should be some sort of inbetween so I would either go for a 20 inch or a 24.

I have the westy 22", and I couldn't be happier.

I'm going to get a 37" westy, but I'm going to use that as a tv.

I got the Samsung 226 bw today and it is utterly frigging awesome. No bad pixels, no noticeable backlight bleed and really pretty damn cheap. Some people say the dots/square inch is an issue as 22" have the same native res as the 20"s but that does not seem to be an issue to me. Also the resolution is low enough that you can still play games with an average 3d card at good frame rates, but you have plenty of desktop room and everything looks great. Mine is a 'S' panel by the way. (Read the Hardocp forum thread about this).

I personsonaly perfer the Samsung ,I have had great luck with my 22" samsung ,It has a great picture and I notice no ghosting when playing games. If you can aford the extra money then I would get a 24" instead simply because of the higher resolution you can play at.

Almost all 22 inch panels are the same Chimei TN panel anyways. Go for the cheapest, I went with the Acer with HDCP support.
Anandtech just did a review of the exact model I have.

Yup. I just went with the ChiMei branded one. They actually have really good support. Mine had a dead pixel and they picked up my monitor from work on a Friday and delievered a replacement to my home on a Saturday. :D
