My friend gave me some old ram sticks and I can't determine what kind they are. I know they are each 128MB sticks but I don't know if their DIMM or SIMM sticks of ram. I've attached a photo of Qty. 3 sticks of ram.

1.) First two sticks from the left are made from SpecTek they both read the following information on each stick. P16M648YLUU7-133CL3A 128MB PC133 SDRAM

2.) The third stick of ram says the following.... Brand: Simple Technology
128MB SYNC 133MHz CL3

So the total amount of ram is 384MB and was once used only on a Windows 98SE/Windows ME based pc back in the day. I'd still like to know if it's DIMM or SIMM and if it's going to be seen in an older pc as 384MB total since it's Qty. 3 128MB sticks of old ram.

Sounds like memory from around the "PII/PIII era"

I got very similar memory in a PII-233, 3 sticks of 128 to get 384..

I totally forget the details of that stuff, since its soo old.

EDIT: somewhere along the PII/PIII era, the fsb/multiplier jumped up my a few mhz.. I forget which systems uses stuff like PC66, PC100, PC133, etc.. I think PC133 was the height of that memory type(for std speeds)? Soo fuzzy...

That's are DIMM's of 168 pins

Most of 168 pins DIMM's are SDRAM but there is also EDO ram in 168 pins
(I have only seen SDRAM in 168 pins ...)
