View Full Version : Where do you get your news?
It's intriguing to see all the differing viewpoints on various political topics that are posted to the boards here. This of course leads me to wonder where folks get their news. It's pretty clear that NO single news source is clear of bias. So what do y'all use? Print media? TV/Radio? Web? All three?
I try to get a balanced diet. I read the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (http://www.ajc.com) daily to get my left-wing vegetables. I try to watch Special Report with Brit Hume on FNC (http://www.foxnews.com) (if I'm home from work early enough, which is increasingly rare these days) to get my potatoes. If I'm in the car or telecommuting during their shows (also increasingly rare these days) I'll catch Boortz (http://www.boortz.com) or Limbaugh (http://www.rushlimbaugh.com) for some right-wing red meat. And Drudge (http://www.drudgereport.com) (who links just about everywhere) and Little Green Footballs (http://www.littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/weblog.php) (and sometimes InstaPundit (http://www.instapundit.com)) serve as my web-based bread & butter.
Cheers,
JND
Mostly CNN, BBC, and KDKA talk radio.

Probably Drudge & MSNBC are my two tops. I always check Drudge when I get on the web, and I almost always fire up me tv and keep MSNBC going in the background while posting. (Well, actually it's "always on top"...but I keep it REALLY little. ;) )
Foxnews, Cnn, WSJ, BBC and Peanuts.

Foxnews!! LOOOOL
I can hardly consider this a "news source", it has as much credability as the "National Examiner".
Well, BBC, Deustchewelle for me :)

I'm a fan of News.google.com -- figure you can see how the same story is written by everyone, therein allowing you to find the truth yourself...
I use a variety of news sources.
For print its Washington Post and Washington Times.
Online its CNN.
News.google.com is a handy tool.
Much of the American news media gets their news from the same source. Maybe this is part of the reason why much of the American news media is pedestrian imo.

It makes sense now. :D
I watch ABC World News, CNN, MSNBC, etc. Usually if I'm online I'll get the headlines on yahoo, since that's my homepage. I guess that counts as AP news since they get most of the stories from them, our reuters.
