This is great news! Now I can put the HDMI input to good use in my new 37" LCD.

It just doesn't seem like a good marketing move by Microsoft. The 360 is doing fine right now, there is no need to mess with the hardware. HDMI should be saved for the XBox3.

Screw the HD DVD Player in my opinion. The HDMI port will rock with my 37" 1080p LCD. This is not too overpriced considering the revisions that had to be made. You get a modification on the video chipset to include HDMI, a CPU that will most likely have gone through a die shrink to run cooler (65nm), and 6 times the Hard Drive space. Twice as much hard drive space as Sony's good for nothing but curing cancer "console" and playing BD I guess.

120GB>60GB And it costs $120 less.

If MS can somehow sell the console for $400 then it will be a homerun I think.

The great thing about the PS3 is that you don't need a proprietary hdd that costs too much....you can just pick up a regular computer hard drive and pop it in.

Well, I'll say that WHEN I finally get around to picking up a Xbox360, I'll purchase the 120Gb/HDMI version if it exists.

Microsoft really should include the HD-DVD drive in that model though, even if the format is doomed I wouldn't mind having an HD-DVD player ;)

Even on my PS3 I don't use an HDMI cable. My HDTV will accept 1080i/p through component, so I just go that route.

I agree, lack of split-screen REALLY pissed me off on Motorstorm. If Resistance could pull off 4 player split screen, there is no reason why Motorstorm couldn't have done the same.

Even though I think Motorstorm is an incredible game, there are a few aspects about it that make it feel cheap and rushed...like the screen that comes up everytime you start that game asking you to select your language.

If I buy a game in the US, English should be the default. And if it isn't, it should remember the fact that I selected English the first time I loaded the game.
