New to Linux; however I would love to use it as a base OS and then run a number of VMs on top of it. WALL: configuring dual head support on my Dell Precision 490 with an NVIDIA Quadro.

The system is new and there are no problems with card as I can enable this feaure on Windows with a simple click.

This card is supported correct?

Er, what are you trying to do? I run a PWS 360 with Quadro 3000
dualhead / dualbooting XP and Suse 10.1 so I don't see why that
should not work with Ubuntu. Head 1: 1280x1024, head 2: 1920x1200.

Nvidia would have to screw up really bad if the newer cards and
drivers wouldn't work (I'M currently running XP: 9136, Linux: 9755).

Problems might arise with your wishing to run virtual, I never tried
that (neither Vmware nor XEN).
