I had a LG 19" LCD and loved it. Bright, clear, very high contrast ratio. I'd imagine this is a good panel as well. Any specs on it? If it has a super low response time it's probably a TN panel.

LG phones are crap. But LG screens are good... my 17" Dell laptop has a 1920x1200 LG screen and the quality is excellent. No dead pixels, no "glitter", and hardly any light leakage. It's better than the Samsung-based Dell 2405 I own.

HDMI is no big deal, you can run an HDMI to DVI cable and youll be good. ;)

i dont understand why everyone is so obsessed with HDMI. yea, it has audio, but its really just a digital signal in a smaller format. converting HDMI to DVI wont lose anything and you wont notice the size difference.

My personal recommendation, especially since you're waiting, would be to wait for the next wave of nec opticlears. I'm sure at least one will have the 92% color gamut.

About the Samsung, is that i think it uses a vertical alignment panel, so there may be noticeble input lag (mouse responsiveness.)

I was at work today and looked at those 2 monitors again...

I like the Westinghouse cause it is sleek looking

but

in terms of monitor....

the LG is sooooooo nice. The screen is excellent.... :)

only thing is I hate that stand soo much... its all big and circular.. if I bought it , I would wall mount it just because I hate the way the stand looks..

If it wasn't $600+ I would so buy it. I just purchased the 22" Dell widscreen for $296.
