Far out this is taking so long.... I have a feeling that if I change to X2900 they will support it in the next driver after I do..

Isn't that life? :D

Completely off-topic, but nice rig! First sig. I've seen with the P35; what cooling? Can't be air, can it?

~Ibrahim~
Yes all completely aircooled.

Yes all completely aircooled.

No way! 3.8GHz on air? With 100+CFM fans or something?

You do realize that he's using 1.55 vcore right?

I can hit 3.8 GHz with 1.55 vcore.

Isn't 1.55V kind of pushing it for 24/7? And 3.8GHz of heat does sound like a lot.

Or I am misunderstanding something: does the amount of heat change when the clock speed changes or when the voltage goes up?

3.8GHz @ 1.55V = 2.4GHz @ 1.55V?

In terms of heat?

Sorry for totally screwing this thread. If you'd like, you could PM the answer..

I use an Infocus IN76 and I need DV back. I mean the colors really make the graphics shine on the 110" screen!

Can anyone please give me a clear answer regarding how AVIVO Saturation control is on HD2900 on Vista compared to DV? Does it look exactly the same?

This is what I found:

Colour saturation
The feature is very similar to nVidia’s Digital Vibrance Control: “It makes colors more vibrant. This is especially an advantage for those who have a cheap monitor with bland colors. This is mainly a love/hate feature.” ATI’s approach is hardware based while nVidia does it via software.

Wrong, wrong and wrong again. DVC is hardware based.

Oi, it's not my answer, I just picked it up off of this thread at Futuremark:

The Buyer's Guide: 6600GT-8800GTX/HD2900XT (http://futuremark.yougamers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=164)

An update from the Nvidia forums:

DV is in a driver slated for release next week, so there you have it.

:)

YAAAAAAAAAAY!! (nana2) (nana2) :D

I never really wanted to go to ATI anyway ;) :p :captnkill:

Hopefully it's the driver talked about in the Nvidia developer blog with improved SLI, which will make everyone happy :)
