Best B&M store there is. I haven't been to Best Buy or CompUSA to buy anything in over a year. Fry's is the closest thing to Newegg in a box that I can imagine.
Sigh...if only we had one in WI. :(

Same here, none in my area. See people online talk about them a lot so I wish they'd branch out to my area.

Just get the BBC version. Aired on BBC last year. It's exactly the same as the Discovery version, except for the narrator. Or maybe you're already talking about the BBC one, I don't really know. :p

EDIT: I just saw that is the preorder. Heh. :o

Thats the version I saw and I think David Attenborough did a much better job narrating. Cant figure why they would go through all that trouble of changing it.

I've had this on pre-order for roughly a month on HD-DVD. I saw it on SD Discovery, and promptly turned it off so that I wouldn't spoil the experience :o Gotta wait for the real thing!

I don't get Discovery HD (cause I'm cheap and don't believe in paying more than $100 to the cable company monthly). I only get NBC,ABC,FOX and CBS in HD because by law cox is supposed to send these unencrypted digitally. My TV has a digital tuner built in with a TVGuide program guide (don't user a box) so I get free HD without the silly box decoder and the extra price... Cox still insists that I can't get HD without a box and an HD subscription, hah. (lee63)

I've had it on all day in the background on SD and it's still amazing. I can't wait to get it this week!

Oh wow, I didn't notice there was even a planet earth thread here until I saw it mentioned in the open forum. I'm a huge fan here too. I actually got HD rips of it a few months ago since it aired on BBC last year and we watched them over on my buddy's 60" tv. AMAZING.
