View Full Version : Best free disk imaging tool?

What (if anything) do you use to make backup images of your hard disks? I'm trying to steer clear of anything Norton (Ghost) so that's why I'm asking.

I use acronis true image. It's not free, but it's an excellent program. Pretty much the best disk imaging program I've found...

I will put in another vote for Acronis. It has already saved me from data loss twice, well worth the small investment.

+1 vote for acronis here too.
did a exact of my c: drive to a new harddrive and worked perfectly.

Another alternative if you like command-line tools is to use chdman (http://www.mameworld.net/gurudumps/tutorials/dumping_cds_&_hdds/index.html), the same utility used for MAME. :)
