Running Vista Home Premium 64bit
Running BF2142 as administrater
Disabled Aero while running.
101.41 Nvidia driver installed.
X-Fi Fatal1ty Sound Card.

I've tried disabling the sound card and it still CTD.

Has anyone else had this problem? I just can't seem to get BF2142 to work with any latest driver or older driver.

BF2 and Bf2142 crashes every map change sometimes.

8800GTX here. System is 100% stable. It should be a flaw on sound or video drivers.

been doing research, seems very much a flaw especially in my sound drivers. crashes all the time with my X-Fi enabled. but when i disable it i at least get some game time.

i figure this wont get fixed till new drivers/game patches are produced for these issues. :(

I have the same problem with BF2142 ... it will load one map just fine but at the next map change 9 times out of 10 it will crash to desktop with a memory allocation error.. as of now I don't have anything over clocked, and most other games/ programs run stable (memory checks out ok)...

Vista Ult.
Intel Core2 2.4ghz
2gig ram
8800 GTX

I can usually change conquest maps without issue. But Titan map always crashes on the next map, and assault lines will do it when it goes to load a third map. All of these are memory allocation errors. Also, if I try to go into the enemy's Titan (regardless of which side I play on), I get an instant crash - I can land on it, I just can't drop into the vents or go in through the cargo bay doors. Also, these errors are always followed by a BSOD - Process has pages locked, either immediately after, or when I go to shutdown. And for the final straw, 50% of the time after the crash the game music and sounds keep playing.

I've got an X-Meridian on order, once the 64-bit drivers are released, the X-Fi is getting pulled out. Hopefully that will make an improvement.

Has something to do with the refresh rate and the vista drivers. Any driver after 100.65 did it so I went back to that. Then I can't pissed off with Vista and game issues and went back to winxp:) :)
