Just watched the clips and the game looks very impressive. I hope they release a demo so I can see what the gameplay is like.

Cheers

Multi demos due out on the 20th, and I dunno about the other demo (they said there'd be another)

Looking forward to it here as well.

urrr...lower the resolution you play at? hell my gf3ti200 is too slow at the new stuff at 1024x768 really, but I do it anyway

my athlon 600 wif gf2mx often enough is fine at 640x480....i plan on upgrading it to a 800 wif gf4mx ($ matters for a LANbox thats used four times a month at most)

back to the topic, this game sounds like a FPS Crusader (closest I've heard of yet anyway)....it should be cooool. Dunno yet though, I want teh demo

03.20.03: MultiPlayer Demo on the way!

We are busy at work finishing up the MP demo! It should be available later today and we will make an announcement as soon as it is up and available for download. Please be patient! We're hard at work. :) http://www.devastationgame.com

I'm excited! I've been watching the clips quite a bit and really want to see how this game plays. Very happy there releasing a MP demo, SP would be cool but I'm much more of an online gamer.

Cheers

Looks interesting. I hope they release a single player demo, though.

The multiplayer demo was released last night... I heard it's not very good, but I haven't checked it out yet.

Yeah, that's why I'd rather base my opinion on a single player game because from what I read on their site that's where it looks like the best gameplay will be.

All the servers I've tried are crap-laggy. But when I run my own server it runs well hehe. Here's hoping these guys are patch-masters.

Man, at least wait until the GeForce FX 5200's are available. They should be quite cheap (non-Ultra's should be under $100 retail, possibly as low as $79 retail).

I might. I was supposed to actually upgrade the thing a long time ago, and my bro was gonna buy the vidcard <g>
I can get a 4mx for $60 with shipping, so hey. It's cheap. As to the gffx5200...well, with new hardware I believe 'cheap' when I see it, lets put it that way.

Well, remember, the 5200 is nVidia's replacement for at least part of the GeForce4 MX line (there are many different versions of this line).

It should perform similarly to a GeForce3 in current games with FSAA enabled (probably a little bit higher), and will perform much better than a GF3 in future games like DOOM3 (and, conversely, far, far better than a GF4 MX).

I would generally expect that you could find a 5200 (non-Ultra) for about $90 with shipping right after initial availability (which is supposed to be within a month, I believe).

now that depresses me...I already have a gf3ti200 in my main machine, and probably won't be upgrading IT til the end of the year :p

Just read this over at VE3D if anyone is interseted:

Digitalo is working on a patch which will address most of the technical, gameplay, and audio issues that have been reported in the Devastation MP Demo within the past eighteen hours. It's a little too soon to construct a valid ETA yet, but rest assured that the team is thoroughly committed to this, and will work as fast as they can to resolve as much as possible, as quickly as possible, for all versions of the game, demo and retail.

Go dl the patch if you have the demo http://www.devastationgaming.com/

thats not the full patch they were speaking of, but anyway
