That's no different than any other audio processor, though. That's why it's very difficult to get truly high end sound out of a computer- it's an extremely noisy electrical environment. But whether or not the sound processor and video processor are on the same board make very little difference (hint: What frequencies does the human ear hear anyways? What frequencies do modern gpu's run at?).
20hz-20khz. What's your point?

His point is.. if there was an embedded audiochip on the graphicsboard.. you wouldn't hear a 500+ Mhz hiss through it. because your hearing stops at 22kHz. and a clockpulse of 500Mhz is a way too high frequency for a human to hear..

I figured it was something along that line. ;)
Thanks for clarifying that though. :)

i like reading threads like this, comedy at its finest.
some parts of that interview are weird too.
360 gpu is not dx10, so r600 is their first generation dx10 chip, not second.
ati had whql driver in november, but it was not before vista, vista was RTM at that time, it also was the same time nvidia had a whql driver. neither company had dx10 whql driver at that time.
aa not needed at higher res? aa is always needed. ask slawter he has 30inch dell, runs games at 2600(something like that). AA is needed always.
oh god, is this a joke "The R600 schedule hasn't changed" "we're on the same hardware-schedule that we've always been", just by reading that part, how can you take rest of the interview seriously.

I'm right. I'm not always right. In fact, I'm wrong more than most people, but I can guarantee you I'm right about this. This has to be one of the funniest things I've ever read. Somebody's gotta put this in their sig!

I made a typo about the 360's gpu being DX10, if I wrote that. I don't remember.
Thanks for agreeing with me=)
DX10 requires a Geometry shader.
If something had an ununified archt. but had G. shaders, it could be DX10.
Nvidia originally planned to not go with a unified shader archt, but they were going to have the gs, just not a usa and they were going to be dx10.

I normally don't defend what I say, if so many people say I'm wrong, but I read (I don't know why this source would be BS'in people) that nvidia originally planned to make their DX10 part with g shaders v shaders and p shaders separate and still have the DX10 spec.
The direct x shader model isn't determined by the number of pipes and not if they're split or not.

You may read, but you either don't:
A) Comprehend what you have read, or
B) Have ADD and you just can't pay attention to what you read.
At any case, you are usually wrong on every point you make.
Maybe you should ask someone to pronounce the big words for you.

Yes I do.
I don't have mental retardation and I don't have any learning disabilities, but I have a few mental disabilities.
I feel like a retard though sometimes, and not everything I say is meant to be serious, I don't even believe a lot of the things I say, I've just heard or read that others say them, so I assume they're true, when they have no apparent reason to lie.

If your psychologist says you aren't mentally retarded then you should fire him.

Just b/c someone seems retarded and is wrong about things sometimes doesn't make that person retarded all of the time.
There's retarded people with perfect English skills.
English skills aren't everything.
There's people here who have said that BD-ROMs aren't better for games than DVD-ROM are.
I'm not one of those people.
I started this thread so people wouldn't get their hopes up and wouldn't be disappointed and so I could just save them some time and prevent them from worrying.
Sometimes, there's more to things than there appears to be.
I'm just trying to help. I'm not capable of helping all of the time, but I can help sometimes.
For example, I hate LIEberman out of respect for all of the gaming community, yet people seem to hate me more than they hate him, when he's the one who doesn't care about the gaming community and he would probably make video games illegal if he could, while I dedicate my life to support most of the gaming community.
