THe beginning to that one caught me more than the usual old thread or interview does....

"I wonder if there will be a G-force 3 ULTRA by the time Windows XP comes out?"

... and sheesh, GF4=dual GPU? what if.... :D

lol, it'd be funny if forums weren't pruned, then we could read forum posts from a few years ago, it'd entertain me for hours on end to read that kind of stuff

They weren't pruned, nvnews was hacked a while back, and they lost the database.

Geforce 2; Detonator 3; No delay for NV20; Users wanting better AA/AF... Swap the numbers about, and you've got what it's like today! The more things change...

EDIT: Check out this news post:

"nV News is going to implement a policy that will refrain from posting news of any leaked specifications or rumors for NVIDIA based products. This is a decision I made on my own and wasn't forced to do so by anyone else.

I received an e-mail from Grace at Prolink this morning who was quite upset that their PixelView GeForce4 MX box shots and specs had been leaked on the Internet. She's been in damage-control mode since then and people may not realize the grief it's caused her.

I urge other webmasters to do the same. It's not right to put a persons job in jeopardy by posting rumors or pictures of unannounced products.

Instead of asking us to post this information, there's nothing stopping you from posting it in the forums.

MikeC: I've received word from other prominent webmasters who have already joined or will joined this cause - 3DGPU, *********, and Bjorn 3D."

..So, what happened to that policy huh? ;)

HAHAHA here is a classic post from that thread....

You know ur pretty dumb to think that nvidia will push the production of Geforce 3 Ultras for XP. Don't u think they would probably spend all their money on Geforce 4 which is supposed to be dual GPU.. and GUESS WHAT! XP supports dual proccesor and dual GPU, so why would anyone care bout a geforce 3 ultra

classic BS :)
