To Cut Out The Vista / Drivers Moaning I Made This Thread.

I thought I would make this thread, then everytime someone feels the need to have a Vista rant they can just refer to it, leave their initials at the bottom and then leave.

That way, nobody gets banned for getting angry and upsetting people, and others can try and make do the best they can with what they got.

the whole "nvlddmkm has repeatedly stopped responding" error makes me mad..that and the memory errors i get in bf2/bf2142. i dont care what anyone says - its @#$#ht driver problems with vista/nvidia - not hardware. it doesnt matter if my system is o/c or not.. the errors will still appear. :thumbdwn:

and microsoft is already talking about their next os??!? what about the one you just released that doesnt work properly NOW!? something went wrong somewhere along the line..................

i just dont get it sometimes. nvidia makes about a gzillion dollars a year (not to mention how much $$$$ msoft makes) - surely they can hire some programmers that can write a driver that works!!?

Eh...microsoft has done this with every OS they've ever released, including XP.

And seeing as you don't like the drivers right now, if its any consolation, the next windows OS won't have any drivers. None. Rather the "drivers" will be modules that plug into an extensible firmware interface which will eventually replace your BIOS. Some motherboards (e.g. mine) already support EFI and can replace the BIOS with it using a simple firmware update.

For you "hate microsoft" fanboys, this also means OS independent and processor independent drivers.

well i like windows..and i like nvidia..i just dont like the state that their driver support is in right now. ill continue to use microsoft/nvidia products, i just feel that for the amount of money those companies make, surely they can fix these problems that such a vast majority of people are having..you only need to sift through a few forums to realize this isnt just a few random people having these problems..

needless to say, everything else bar my geforce 8800 works 100% with vista.
