Nash FTW plain and simple.:D
You can't base an MVP solely on stats (though Nash's stats are DAMN good)
Weak shooting percentage? He is #2 in the league in 3 point shooting percentage!
When you have guys like Barbosa, Marion and Amare that require spacing on defense, you can't sag on Nash.
His "average" is only around 20 points per game because he gets his team involved so he doesn't have to put up big numbers. EVEN STILL, when his teammates aren't scoring that well, he can put up big numbers and score 35+ points a game. I've seen playoff games where Nash drops 40+ points.
Nash is a smart player, he is a good percentage scorer, kinda like Parker for the spurs, except parker has more speed and nash has a much better 3 point shot.
And no way would I trade Nash for Iverson. You cannot simply throw talent on a team and expect them to win. The Lakers proved that wrong when they put Shaq, Kobe, Malone, and Payton on the same team and Denver (edit: i mean pistons) spanked their asses in the finals.
Depends on your team. Iverson works for a team like Denver. Nash would not because he has no one to push like in Phoenix. He would do decent but the team would not likely win as in Phx. Iverson would also not work in Phx because his style is different BUT Iverson can dish it AND score. If he played with the same kind of crew thats there right now, he might be able to make it work. Iverson knows how to dish.
I'm not saying Nash is the most talented player in the league. To be honest, in terms of raw talent, he doesn't even make my top 10. Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Drik and countless others would destroy Nash in a 1 on 1 game.
In terms of value, there are more important players than Nash to their teams.
Why Nash *is* the best player in the league is because he has a deep down fire in him that wants to win, the likes of which I have not seen since Michael Jordan left the NBA. He is not the most talented player in the league for sure, but every single game I see him play with more intensity than any other player on the court. Intensity and momentum is a very real thing in the NBA, and you would be a fool to think that doesn't rub off on his teammates. It is no coincidence that the same year Nash came to the Suns you saw players like Diaw, Barbosa, and Marion stepping up their game. The intensity that Nash brings rubs off on them, and that is why they are an amazing team. You take away the source of that intensity, and they'll go back to playing lethargic basketball like they did before Nash came along.
He's only had this "fire" the last couple of years because his confidence went through the roof. He didn't have that fire in Dallas, he didn't have it in Phx before either.
Also, Diaw, Marion, Amare and co are VERY competitive too. Heck, do you remember the series when Amare competed v/s Duncan and almost single-handedly won that series? That's how important he is. And the year before when his 3 pointer sent the game to OT in the playoffs, on a team where Marbury was the PG? Amare has fire, Marion has continued to dominate all these years because he ALSO has fire.
I find it extremely disrespectful to these other all-star players when you have to belittle their abilities to pump up Nash.

Due to the fact choke master flex dirk is playing like ass during the playoffs, Nash is probably going to win MVP. He had a great game tonight against the Lakers. He still doesn't deserve MVP, but he'll probably get it anyway. Ah well. :)

MVP is determined before the playoffs start. They just don't typically release the results.
If it was determined after, Nash would never have won it the past 2 years.
