ps stalker DOES I REPEAT DOES HAVE AA WITH DYNAMIC LIGHTING. IT is NOT a directx 9 issue. IT works fine. You can set all kinds of levels of aa in the game. read the tweak guide and try it.

What tweak guide? Most games with HDR and AA, the AA needs to forced from the control panel - which makes my Stalker give me just a sky...
I'll try it, again though, what tweak guide?

tweakguides.com
save you some time, here.
go to the console, press ` (next to the 1)
then press tab to go through the available commands, or read the guide and get the commands to enter. he explains in the guide which aones are useful. i think the aa ones and the r2_ are all good, just use them and then watch fps, run around, then take a screen shot, then make some changes. press up on keyboard to recall last commands used. eventually (30 min or so) you will have this game runing smoother and looking better than any other game you won (except dark messiah of course(or double agent)).
aa Cannot be enalbed throuigh the control panel, and it cannot be changed thorugh the ingame sliders.. the guide explains this(unless you are using crappy static lighting)
so they have a really neato aa built in, but you can oly adjust it with the three or four commands for aa, but dont stop there!!! go through the other settings and make it better than ever!! test it in the beginning, and then walk outside(there shouldnt be a frame drop when going outside)
all this is from a 2.0 x2 overclocked to 2.5 ghz, 2 gb ram, 2gb readyboost, Disk drive high performance enabled thorugh device manager, and an 8800gts. other (lower) cards wont handle this, only the elite,(which i am not, i got this as a present from tax money this year)
ps, dont use these drivers, get the 158. drivers, all my games run smooth and no crash now.

My experience is that these drivers (over 101.70):
*Still no fan control
**still no DV
***HDR +AA doesn't work in stalker anymore
****MORE stuttering in Stalker (non with 101.70)
so there isn't any reason to upgrade at all; I reverted back to 101.70's
How about 158.18's? You didn't try those?

I wonder what the next version will be and what improvements and features we'll see.

Can anyone post a modified inf that will allow this driver to run on a Geforce Go 6800? Thanks.

Hi,
yes, I'm currently using those. After a rough install procedure (more work needs to be done there for sure!); I got these installed. I think the performance seems a bit worse than 101.70 actually, but I like that purevideo works and stuff...I always stay with the latest drivers from nvidia but will usually test out beta stuff to see if it's worth it (lately in most cases it hasn't been).
The 158.18's seem pretty stable; but all the complaints I levied about these beta drivers except the stalker issues are still true here.
