MikeC just have "My niece!" on your auto reply. These horn balls around here are going to harass you over that picture all day! ;)

When I saw the article posted this morning, I knew it was only a matter of time before someone said "something". :)
A very nice preview on what looks to be a solid mid-range card. Nice work.

I'm just saying to remember that its Mike's niece and to make sure to stay respectful when issuing comments about her. Its kind of a "boss' daughter" type deal from my perspective. All its going to take is one reject to say "id ht dat" and all hell could break loose!
Then again, I could be completely off base! :p

But, she has hair, that should have been the FIRST clue you nub :smoking:
I do like the fact this article has generated more interest in the model than the actual content lol.
Good job mr Chambers ;)
Wrt the article, I wonder if there will be a 256-bit memory bus version coming out with lower clocks. I would LOVE to see how that would stack up against the older cards

I'm just curious Mike- but have you shown her how the pervs around here are re-acting to her being the official "nVnews model"? I'm sure we'd get a couple chuckles from her response. :p
Poor, poor gal.

I am confused!! So is going from a 7900 gt to a 8600 gt an upgrade or a downgrade

Well... it'd probably be an upgrade. Now, if you were running the 7900GTX- then it'd be an upgrade only in the sense that you'd be getting DX10 support, but a downgrade in terms of DX9 performance.

I would say the same with a 7900gt. Unless you specifically need Direct X 10 support, I would keep the 7900GT.
