The PS2 and PSP version have been out for some time now but the PS3 version is set to release soon. Here is the first footage of its version. Looks pretty dam good considering its sorta like a port.

MLB 07: The Show has been getting better remarks for its gameplay then MLB 2K7 has so it might be a good alternative for some PS3 Baseball fans. I know OWA is a big sports fan.

Anyway, Check it out here... the HD version looks awsome!

The players looked really good, some of the environment textures didn't look as great as I might have liked.

However, I'll take superior gameplay anyday.

good enough for me. If it's 60fps like the site says, I'll be getting it. That MLB2k7 demo was trash in that regard.

Thanks for the link.

I like MLB2K7 (even though the framerate does dip at times) but I'm sure I'll try out MLB 07 as well. I did the same with the NBA game, getting NBA2K7 as well as NBA 07 (even though I don't think NBA 07 was rated as high in that case).

Edit: Just watched the video and I think it looks good. Looks really smooth also so hopefully that ends up being the case.

Just check out the MLB Show video in High Definition and as a owner of MLB 2k7:

-Gameplay does seem to run smoother on MLB 07 The Show
-The fans/crowd definately looks better on this game than MLB 2k7
-Players faces do not seem to have as much realism than compared to MLB 2k7
-As Bandit pointed out earlier, the environment (stadium, flags, signs) do not seem as detailed as hope when compared to MLB2k7

I'd definately want to rent this just to compare the two titles and see what would be the better one to pick up in a following year

good enough for me. If it's 60fps like the site says, I'll be getting it. That MLB2k7 demo was trash in that regard.

Only real times were I see FPS dip on MLB2k7 is when focusing on the crowd or in pregame introduction. Otherwise, it hardly dips at all

Anyways, from what I've been hearing (about MLB the show 07), the game play holds up compared to the PS2/PSP versions, which are considered the best baseball games out. But they also fixed a couple bugs from those versions for the ps3 version. They have way more audio commentary for the ps3 version. And it's fully online featured with game invites/in-game messages/online leagues, etc. Game runs at a solid 60fps.

Like I said, I'll be picking this up for sure. IMO MLB2k7 a looks a lot better, but this doesn't look terrible and game play is always first.

In-game messages sounds like a good idea. 1337_Like_ThaT and I have discussed that briefly before, after playing MLB2K7, thinking it would be a nice feature for MLB2K7 to have.
