Hi,
I've got a stock RedHat 8.0 Linux, Asus GeForce3,
XFree86 4.2.0, and NVIDIA 1.0-4191 (build from
source rpms). Works well, no problems.
Except...
When I log remotely to a SGI IRIX machine and run
any program that queries the visual info / GLX,
for example glxinfo, the X on my Linux crashes immediately. Result: cannot open OpenGL graphics
applications from remote SGI server machine.
This used to work with some older versions of the
NVidia drivers. Cannot remember which. The other way around (from Linux to SGI) has newer worked well.
I know that this is becoming a very marginal
problem, but any ideas are still welcome.
Yours,
JVL
