View Full Version : your 8800 GTX overclocks?
Getting max benchmarks in, say, 3dmark2006 I can go as high as 675/1070 and get a very high rating but stable in games? Nope. After 10-30mins it'll either freeze the game forcing me to warm-reboot OR blue-screen then force reboot itself.
For max stability I probably would stay lower than 650/1014.
As mentioned, is it worth an extra 2-3 frames/sec between 640/1014 and 675/1070 sacrifing system crashing? Nope.
These OCZ cards overclock nicely, see sig.

Last December if I remember correctly.
Banko - is that stable in, say, Oblivion running everything max? Your mem is high but your core is only "lightly" OC'ed. ;) Again.. its one thing to go to 275/2100 for a quick 3dmark06 benchie but its another to play, say, C&C3 or Stalker or Oblivion at ultra-high details and expect the games to NOT crash after 5-20mins.

I played STALKER for around 3 hours the other day, and Serious Sam 2 for around 4.
Edit:
I also ran the ATiTool Artifact Tester overnight, and it found nothing... Considering that spinning little cube manages to heat up the card more then anything, I'm 100% sure this is stable.
Trying bumping your Core from 626 to 650 or a little higher. Keep your mem @ 1050 (2100) like you have it now. See if it still maintains its stability. Is your GPU's fan cycle @ 100% ? Use RivaTuner 2.1 to see and to see it if necessary. This is important as the card is defaulted to 60%.
