I know most stores dont take back games if they have been open. But what about Guitar Hero II, since it also includes a controller. Anybody know wht's Eb games policy on it. I called the store and the guy said they dont accept opened games, period, is that correct?

Yup mainly do to piracy open games are usually not taken back. What I recommend doing is selling it on Ebay or on a Forum, you would get more for it that way then you would by trading it in.

I've always thought a happy medium would be like 15% restocking fee, then resell it for 10% off, and then that way it wouldn't be all or nothing.

i remember when piracy wasn't as bad and eb took things back.

I don't know if kick-ass return policies will ever return or if piracy will ever be greatly reduced.

It can't be eliminated unfortunately.

That is why if I have to return any game, for whatever reason I open it carefully so I can package it back, and say I never opened it.

I guess you could unfold the ends very carefully but I still don't think I could manage that without ripping it.

Shows what you know. Best Buy has been the recipient of a few games that I "never opened."

Wal-Mart has recieved the same treatment from me.

They lie. Make a big enough fuss in a crowed EB and they will bend over backward to get you to shut up.

And having extra game case sized shrink wraps around in case you mess up putting the original one back on. I actually picked up a few games from CC that were in the $5 and under bin (PS2) because I messed up when I was trying to repackage a 360 game that sucked.
