And Kubuntu doesn't really game all that well. I'm actually tempted to try re-installing XP on this rig, but am afraid that I'd be wasting my time if I did so. Maybe I should give it a go...

I like Kubuntu, but I know I'd like it a lot more if I had the video card drivers installed. The problem with that is the only way to install the video card drivers is via command prompt...

And I'm sick and tired of any command prompt. For the longest time that was all I used not too many years ago. I'm loving the GUI and the simplicity it brings as well as the laziness it allows. :p

Oh well, maybe once I finish spamming I can attempt to reinstall Windows. Maybe it'll work this time. Maybe it wont be the hard drive and was just a bad install. Happens sometimes- I suppose.

If any of you recall, Windows95, Windows98, 98SE, ME, essentially any Windows 9x version would scan your hard drive(s) prior to installing Windows. How come the XP installation doesn't do this? Why doesn't the installation scan your hard drive(s) before installing? I thought that was an awesome feature. Don't see why it was removed.

Heh, I wonder if Brady is gonna' keep up on the spam thread he started. Maybe I should take over it? I know I could... I could easily dominate and conquer that poor thread! :firedevil

You know, for some odd reason that firedevil smiley makes me want to play some Battle For Middle Earth... real bad. :(

The only problem is that I'd have to unplug this computer and plug in my girlfriend's computer in order to play. Her computer has a perfectly functional and stable installation of XP. And even though it is only running a s754 3400, it does have 2GB DDR500 ram with a single 8800GTS 640MB- it games very well to say the least.

Load times are kind of slow with her computer, well, compared to my Opty185 they are. But atleast hers can game right now. Thanks to Kubuntu mine can't right now. Hmm... it really is getting tempting to just reinstall Windows and pray that it'll work flawlessly.

Meh, think I'll go and browse some of the other forums for a bit. It is getting kind of lonely in here- not to mention I just farted so this thread is gonna' smell kinda' foul for a while. (fart)
