Hey, I say it looks kinda cool

Graphics engine isn't the top of the line, but hopefully the gameplay makes up for it. I can't see how much excitement is going to be brought by a game that has the setting of only a single ship, but one can hope!

who actually likes motion blurring in games?

why did someone decide that this imperfection (in our eyesight) should be forced into games? its like DoF isnt it. like how can a computer decide what i was focusing on?

like if something on screen moves fast it will blur anyway wont it, lol. MY MOTION BLUR COMES FOR FREE cause of my poor human eyesight..

i swear they are trying to make games just like interactive movies where we dont do nothing but sit and watch and dribble. its retarded i think :/

eddit* i also swear motion blur is probably just to make screenshots better, and everyone has followed suit. it looks rubbish in cgi films and rubbish in games.. surely someone with their own opinion on aesthetics can see that ALL it does is blot out the detail you are trying to focus on... motion blur is only used for comics/2d images to show movement.. i 'kin hate it in games...

Motion blur and DoF done right can make games quite a bit more cinematic especially in cut scenes. I mean its just the next thing, we had lense flares, we had HDR and DoF and now its time for motion blur. I think motion blur needs to be subtile in FPS and not reduce your aim-ability.

i like stuff like particles, forces, volumetrics, lights, atmospheres, weird bouncy physiscs stuff, stuff i think is beautiful... the industry seems to like putting in quite the opposite, and trying to re-create our worlds crap features.. why? i want to see straight for miles as clear as a perfect lens. hear the sound of a pin drop, enhanced life... not retarded things like ruining my vision!

oh well, i wonder what we are going to get given next

Parallex mapping is more important then blur motion. Parallex mapping is really nicely done in Crysis and TimeShift i believe that's how game is called.
