I didn't pay attention to what forum this was in- I got mine for the PC for around $40. :p
Definitely isn't worth $60 though, unless it is including the expansion pack.

not to mention graphics got toned down when comparing to x360. pc is still better of three especially PC version got re released in gold edition with expansion for low price.

This video seems to contradict that statement:

This is from IGN:
Simply put, the PS3 doesn't hold a candle to the visuals found in the Xbox 360 version -- especially considering the handful of bugs that have dead soldiers getting stuck in walls and twitching on the floor. The detailed environments and clear draw distances aren't found on PS3. If you had never seen the other versions of F.E.A.R., you still wouldn't be impressed with the PS3's graphics, but compared to the PC and 360, this version is graphically dead in the water.
Also it's glitchy and crappy load times. The clip you posted doesn't really show much because of small, compressed video. I've played X360 version and is a bit disappointed with graphics so PC is superior (of course) so PS3 is probably even worse. What I'm saying, it's NOT worth to shell out $60 for this 2 years old game with glitchy and watered down graphics. :)
Weird how no game ported to the PS3 so far performs well. :(

I'd believe my own eyes over that of what IGN says. That statement could also be based on an old build of the game.

Atari Jaguar version is the best. Z-buffer is just amazing.

IGN isn't only site that said about PS3 having poor graphics quality. :)

The PS3 version of F.E.A.R. is horrid, It has less jaggies then the X360 version but textures at times look very blurry and for some reason theres alot more loading... I don't think they use the HD at all. I didn't see any Frame rate issue when I gave it a go but its really not worth it if you have a PC or a X360.
BTW most ports when going from X360 to PS3 will suck, its alot harder to go from unified to non-unified then it is to go from non-unified to unified architecture.
Thanks for all the inputs,
I am going to go with the crowd on this and not get it.
Off subject looks like I will get S.T.A.L.K.E.R. tomorrow hopefully.
(Hope my lowley PC will run it & I need the wifes permission)
Once again thanks,

I'm passing on it since I played the PC version way back. I'll be grabbing spiderman CE/the show/rainbow 6 (barring no delay) next month. Then sigma CE, graw2, and the darkness in June (barring no delays, again).
This summer is going to be expensive. :D

Bad_Boy, how is that G25? Is it more responsive and faster than the DFP?
BTW most ports when going from X360 to PS3 will suck, it's a lot harder to go from a unified memory architecture to a non-unified memory architecture than vice versa.
I agree, I also believe in part 3 of the ps3 ?lair? interview the ?lead? developer said the same thing.
Also after playing fear on the 360, I woulden't pay $60 for the game. I picked it up used at EB for $40 and that seems a reasonable price for this calibure of game.

Never used a DFP personally. But from what I been told the DFP makes more noise (described to ma as a clicking/clacking noise), easier to turn the wheel (it's a slightly larger wheel also), and overall quality is just much higher on the G25.
